  • November 19, 2000

The sixteenth season of WWE Pay-Per-View presents its twelfth episode titled "Survivor Series 2000." This particular episode marked the 14th edition of the annual Survivor Series event that took place on November 19, 2000, at the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida.

Survivor Series 2000 was a significant event as it marked the end of the Attitude Era in WWE and was the first pay-per-view event after the controversial WCW and ECW invasion angle that lasted for several months. The event featured eight matches, including two championship matches and the main event, which was a traditional Survivor Series elimination match between Team WWF (The Rock, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Kane, and Big Show) and The Alliance (Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, and Shane McMahon).

The show kicked off with a six-person tag team match between The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Dean Malenko) and Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay) and Chyna. The match was a high-energy affair, with some excellent back-and-forth action. In the end, The Radicalz picked up the win after Eddie Guerrero hit Scotty 2 Hotty with his signature Frog Splash.

The next match was a fatal-four-way elimination match for the WWE Tag Team Championship between The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von), The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy), Edge and Christian, and Right to Censor's Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather. The match was filled with high-flying moves and some intense spots, which kept the audience on their feet. In the end, Edge and Christian came out on top and retained their titles after hitting Matt Hardy with their finisher, the Con-Chair-To.

In the third match of the night, The Undertaker faced Kurt Angle in a singles match. The match was a classic big man versus technical wrestler dynamic, and both superstars put on an excellent performance. The crowd was firmly behind The Undertaker, who eventually won the match with his signature Tombstone Piledriver.

The fourth match was a two-on-one handicap match between Ivory and Val Venis against Chyna. The match was a result of Ivory repeatedly attacking Chyna's neck in the weeks leading up to the event. Chyna put on a dominant performance, picking up the win after hitting both Ivory and Val Venis with a Double Low Blow and then hitting a powerbomb on Ivory.

The fifth match of the night saw William Regal defend his WWE European Championship against Hardcore Holly. The match was a physical affair, with both superstars pulling out all the stops to get the win. In the end, Regal retained his title after hitting Holly with his signature move, the Regal Cutter.

The sixth match was a traditional Survivor Series elimination match between Team Chris Jericho (Chris Jericho, Hardcore Holly, Crash Holly, and The Dudley Boyz) and Team Kurt Angle (Kurt Angle, Edge and Christian, Val Venis, and Bull Buchanan). The match was fast-paced, with a lot of eliminations happening in quick succession. In the end, Chris Jericho was the sole survivor of his team, after eliminating Kurt Angle with a Lionsault.

The penultimate match of the night was a singles match between The Rock and Rikishi. The match was a result of Rikishi running over Stone Cold Steve Austin in the weeks leading up to the event. The Rock put on a spectacular performance, eventually winning the match after hitting Rikishi with his signature move, the Rock Bottom.

The main event of the night was a traditional Survivor Series elimination match between Team WWF and The Alliance. The match was hyped up for weeks, with both teams vying for supremacy. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the captain of The Alliance, while The Rock led Team WWF. The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams getting the upper hand at various points in the match. In the end, Team WWF came out on top, with The Rock being the sole survivor after eliminating Stone Cold Steve Austin with a Rock Bottom.

Overall, Survivor Series 2000 was a fantastic event that marked the end of the Attitude Era and the start of a new chapter in WWE's history. The event featured some classic matches, unforgettable moments, and established some new feuds that would continue in the coming months.
