Zorro Rides Again is a classic Western adventure film from 1937, directed by William Witney and John English. The movie stars John Carroll as James Vega, a descendant of the original Zorro, who takes up the mantle of the legendary masked vigilante to fight against corrupt landowners who terrorize a small town.

The film takes place in the 1930s, in the midst of the Great Depression. James Vega, a wealthy businessman, returns to his hometown of Reyes to investigate the suspicious death of his father. He soon discovers that his father was murdered by a group of landowners who are trying to intimidate the local farmers into selling their land for cheap. Disguised as Zorro, Vega sets out to stop the landowners' scheme and restore justice to the town.

As Zorro, James Vega is a fearless hero who fights with a sword and performs daring stunts on his trusty black stallion. His alter ego, James, is a charming and witty man who uses his intelligence and business acumen to outsmart his enemies. He is assisted by a group of loyal friends, including Manuel (Reed Howes), a former soldier who becomes his sidekick and helps him fight against the landowners.

The villains in Zorro Rides Again are a motley crew of corrupt landowners who are led by J. A. Marsden (Noah Beery Sr.), a ruthless tycoon who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Marsden is aided by his henchmen, including El Lobo (Robert McClung), a notorious bandit who is feared by everyone in the town.

The movie's plot is full of action, suspense, and romance. There are numerous thrilling scenes, including horseback chases, daring rescues, and sword fights. The film also features a love triangle between James Vega, his childhood sweetheart Rita (Helen Christian), and Marsden's daughter Barbara (Dorothy Comingore), who is torn between her loyalty to her father and her feelings for Vega.

The production values in Zorro Rides Again are top-notch, with impressive sets, costumes, and special effects. The movie was filmed on location in California, giving it an authentic Western feel. The musical score, composed by William Lava and Alberto Colombo, is also excellent, featuring rousing themes and catchy tunes.

Overall, Zorro Rides Again is a classic Western adventure that is both exciting and entertaining. John Carroll delivers a strong performance as both James Vega and Zorro, while the supporting cast is also excellent. The movie is a must-see for fans of the Zorro character and Westerns in general.
