Cheats is a 2002 teen comedy movie directed by Andrew Gurland and starring Trevor Fehrman, Matthew Lawrence, and Elden Henson. The movie revolves around four high-school friends who are known as 'cheats' in their school. They are known for their habit of cheating on exams and getting away with it, which makes them the most popular guys in their school.

The story begins with Handsome Davis (Trevor Fehrman), Sammy Green (Matthew Lawrence), Victor Barone (Elden Henson) and Applebee (Martin Starr) being caught cheating on their chemistry exam. The school principal, Mr. Davis (Bill Macy) gives them an ultimatum which would make sure that they will never cheat again. The students have to participate in a trivia competition against the school's champions, the Academic Decathlon team. If they lose, they will be expelled from school. But if they win, their cheating will be overlooked.

The Academic Decathlon team comprises of the school's brightest students, who are led by the overconfident and arrogant Conway (Griffin Dunne). Handsome and his friends are intimidated by the team and feel that they cannot win. However, they realize that they need to prepare themselves for the competition, and thus, they start working hard and studying.

Throughout the movie, we see the four friends getting into hilarious situations as they study and prepare themselves for the big day. They come up with unique and creative ways to memorize information, study as a team, and also have fun while doing it. We also see their personal lives outside of school, where they face their own set of problems but always have each other's back.

As the day of the competition approaches, the four 'cheats' realize that they have become better students and better people. They also realize that they do not need to cheat to succeed, and that hard work and dedication can take them a long way. The competition between the 'cheats' and the Academic Decathlon team is a nail-biting one, filled with twists and turns. However, the 'cheats' manage to edge out the Academic Decathlon team and become the new champions.

The movie concludes with the four friends learning valuable life lessons about the importance of honesty, integrity, and true friendship. They also realize that they can achieve anything they want, as long as they work hard for it. The ending is a heart-warming one that leaves the audience feeling happy and satisfied.

Overall, Cheats is a fun, feel-good movie that will leave you smiling. The performances by the cast are brilliant, especially Trevor Fehrman, who delivers an outstanding performance as Handsome. The humor is light-hearted and is sure to make you laugh. The movie also delivers a strong message about the importance of hard work and honesty, making it a great watch for both teenagers and adults alike.
