Florbela Espanca is a young woman who lived her entire life in the beautiful country of Portugal. She was a free spirit with a grand desire to explore life and all the things it had to offer. Her experiences in life had led her to become a world renowned poet. Writing about various things, her many style of writing involved heavy emphasis on romance and eroticism. Having gone through many different divorces in her young life, Florbela had come to be known as sort of an undesirable woman in her day. She used her poetry to escape the constant turmoil.
