Hello My Dear Wrong Number is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Mohanlal, Lizy, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Menaka in lead roles. The movie is a comedy-thriller that revolves around a series of wrongful telephone connections and how they snowball into a series of hilarious events. Meanwhile, Sivankutty is trying to connect with Sarojini (Lizy), the woman he was supposed to deliver the phone to, but finds himself apparently speaking to a prostitute named Seetha (Menaka) on the other end. He fails to realize the mix-up and ends up speaking with Seetha, thinking it's Sarojini. When Madhavan, believing Sivankutty to be his fellow smuggler who has backed out, arrives at the phone booth to confront him, he instead meets Seetha, who he mistakes for his accomplice's girlfriend and pockets the contraband she shows him.

As the story goes on, the phone calls keep getting mixed up, and the characters find themselves in increasingly confusing and comical situations. Ultimately, they all converge at the smuggling site, where they face the police and their leader, who is none other than the wealthy businessman who gave Sivankutty the phone in the first place.

The film manages to bring out the hilarity in every situation and blurs the line between what is real and what is not in a way that keeps the viewer constantly entertained. The direction is tight, and the witty dialogue is delivered from a wonderful cast of actors.
