Del "Spoon" Spooner, the main character, has his hands full as a police officer. In addition to protecting people on the streets from criminals, he has to make sure that he does not screw up. In one of the scenes, Spooner chases and arrests a robot he thinks has committed a street crime. It is discovered that the robot was just helping the lady who is his master and Spooner is reprimanded by his supervisor for arresting a robot. Later in the movie, Spooner's boss asks him for his badge and suspends him because he thinks he is too obsessed with the robots and thus doing his job ineffectively.
"I, Robot" effectively uses suspense and has a true plot. The robots whose purpose is to cause destruction are unpredictable and often carry out an attack unexpectedly. As the viewer, you will sit on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. "I, Robot" does an impressive job presenting suspense and images without featuring excessive violence or profanity; therefore, this movie is suitable for people of all ages.
