This haunting and captivating motion picture tells a tale of extreme poverty and the willingness of the human will to survive at all costs. Set in the ghetto slums of Colombia, the film paints a vivid portrait of the amazing poverty that exists in parts of the country. The film focuses on a young, 13 year old girl named Monica. Monica has had the roughest of lives, growing up in a house filled with domestic abuse and overall hardships. At a young age she ran away from home for a life on the streets. She is getting by, by selling roses in certain nightlife hot spots, while succumbing to a hard life of drugs on the street.
