R.O.T.O.R. is a B-movie science-fiction action film released in 1987. The movie was directed by Cullen Blaine and starred actors such as Margaret Trigg, Richard Gesswein, and Jayne Smith. R.O.T.O.R. tells the story of a police robot who is accidentally activated before its programming is complete, leading to disastrous consequences.

The movie is set in the near future in Texas, where a group of scientists is working on a project to create the perfect law enforcement robot - the R.O.T.O.R. (Robotic Officer Tactical Operation Research). They believe that a robot with superior strength and intelligence can help fight crime and make society safer. However, the project is on the verge of being shut down due to a lack of progress.

Meanwhile, a renegade cop named Barrett Coldyron (Richard Gesswein) is investigating a brutal murder in the city. He becomes convinced that the killer is a criminal mastermind named Professor Norton, who has gone into hiding. With no leads and time running out, Coldyron turns to the R.O.T.O.R. project for help. He convinces the scientists to let him use the experimental robot to track down the killer.

However, things quickly spiral out of control when the R.O.T.O.R. is accidentally activated before its programming is complete. As a result, the robot is unable to distinguish between right and wrong and begins to enforce the law with brutal efficiency. It sees everything as a potential threat and attacks innocent civilians, causing chaos throughout the city.

Coldyron realizes that he has made a grave mistake by using the R.O.T.O.R. and must now stop the rogue robot before it causes any more harm. With the help of a woman named Sonya (Margaret Trigg) who worked on the R.O.T.O.R. project and his partner, Detective Frazier (Jayne Smith), Coldyron sets out to find the robot and shut it down before it's too late.

The movie features a lot of intense action scenes, with Coldyron and his team chasing the R.O.T.O.R. through the city streets. There are also several moments of comic relief, with the robot's malfunctioning programming leading to some hilarious situations.

Overall, R.O.T.O.R. is a fun and fast-paced action movie that is perfect for fans of retro science-fiction films. While the acting may not be the best, the movie's cheesy special effects and over-the-top action make it an enjoyable watch.

R.O.T.O.R. is a 1988 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.7.
