Saint Ralph is the story of a young wayward boy with a big heart but very little ambition or direction. Ralph's mother is sick in the hospital with a very poor prognosis for the future and the boy can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. Providence smiles on him, however, when an accident in the community pool lands him on the cross country team as penance.
Ralph doesn't know a lot about miracles but he is hoping that won't stop him from achieving one in time to save his sick mother. The boy strikes a personal deal with the powers that be that if he manages to win the grueling Boston Marathon, his mother will be delivered from her illness. His struggle to train and participate in the marathon are enough to inspire locals to begin rooting for the thin but determined boy.
The film was both directed and written by Michael McGowan and stars Adam Butcher as Ralph Walker.
