The South Korean film Woman 1968 is quite a sensational drama piece with interesting characters and series of events which are quite emotional and appealing. The film is all about a man whose role was played by Shin Seong-il who while travelling to Seoraksan fell in love with a woman who was travelling alongside him. .

It all started when the man foolishly developed passion in the woman’s hair while travelling and could not get his eyes off the woman’s hair. He starred at the hair so much so that the woman noticed and engaged in a conversation with him. The man told her how much he loved her and her hair.

She revealed to him that she was suffering from a terminal disease and was going to die anytime. But that assured the man that since he loved her hair so much, she was going to leave it to him after her death as part of his inheritance from her.

The man who was so interested in getting this lady’s hair, was disappointed sometime later when she found out the woman had died and her hair had been sold to someone else and not given to him as the lady had promised.

The man could not get the hair forcefully from the new owner, so he gave up. However, later on in his life after other challenging experiences he fell in love again with a different woman whom he came across.

The two got along well for sometime but were devastated when the man later on discovered the woman he had fallen in love with was actually his biological mother.

The actors and actresses in the film are all popular and very talented making the film even more interesting and captivating. They include Shin Seong-ill who was the main actor in the film , Moon Hee, Kim Ji-mee and Choi Eun-hee.

The film which was written by Kim Ki-young with massive contributions from his wife Kim Yu-bong and directed by Kim Ki-young, Jung-woo and Yu Hyun-mok comprised of three parts with the third part directed solely by Kim Ki-young.

It was produced by the joint collaboration of Park Gwan-sik and Lee Eun-seong. Music and animations for the film were provided by Han Sang-ki and Jang Seok-jun. Cinematography for the film was taken care of by talented Jang Seok-jun . Distribution of the film was done by Korea Art Movie Co.Ltd. It was first released in the Korean language.
