666 - The Prophecy from 2011 is a horror-thriller written and directed by Shane Van Dyke. It stars Timothy Gibbs as Father Thomas, a Vatican investigator who is sent to investigate a series of supernatural events that have taken place at a small Catholic church in Southern California. The movie opens with a scene of a young boy playing with a Ouija board in the church. The boy is quickly possessed by an evil spirit, and a priest is killed in the ensuing chaos. The Vatican sends Father Thomas to investigate the incident and to determine if it is a true case of demonic possession.

Upon arriving at the church, Father Thomas meets with the local priest, Father Sebastian (played by Michael Landes). Father Sebastian is skeptical of Father Thomas's claims of demonic possession and believes that the incidents were caused by a mentally unstable member of his congregation. However, as more supernatural events occur, Father Sebastian begins to believe that something more sinister is at play.

As Father Thomas and Father Sebastian investigate the incidents, they discover that the source of the demonic possession may be linked to the number 666. The number appears on a wall of the church, and Father Thomas discovers that it is also engraved on a mysterious artifact that was stolen from the Vatican years ago.

Meanwhile, two teenagers, Nick (played by Brendan Price) and Alyssa (played by Rebekah Brandes), stumble upon the artifact and inadvertently unleash its power. They become possessed by evil spirits, and Father Thomas and Father Sebastian race against time to save their souls before it's too late.

The movie is filled with creepy and unsettling moments as the demon's presence becomes more pronounced throughout the church. There are several jump scares that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, but the film also relies heavily on suspense and atmospheric tension.

One of the strengths of the film is Gibbs's performance as Father Thomas. He brings a sense of gravitas to the role of the Vatican investigator, and he portrays Father Thomas as a man who is deeply committed to his faith and duty. Landes is also effective as Father Sebastian, portraying him as a man who becomes increasingly terrified as the supernatural incidents escalate.

The film also features solid performances from Brandes and Price. Although their characters are somewhat underdeveloped, they bring a youthful energy to the film that helps to balance out the more serious tone of the main plot.

The movie's cinematography is also noteworthy. The church setting is used to great effect, with the shadows and candlelight creating a moody and atmospheric backdrop for the film's supernatural elements. The camera work is often shaky and handheld, which gives the film a sense of immediacy and intensity.

Overall, 666 - The Prophecy from 2011 is a solid horror-thriller that will appeal to fans of the genre. It's not without its flaws - the plot can be somewhat convoluted at times, and some of the dialogue is clunky - but it's an enjoyable and suspenseful film that is worth a watch for horror fans looking for a good scare.
