A Low Down Dirty Shame is a movie that was written and directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. The movie is centered around a private detective name Shame, who formerly worked for the LAPD. After the infamous Mendoza case was not a successful one for him, he goes into Private Detective work for himself. The private detective, whose character is also played by the writer and director, Keenen Ivory Wayans is called into action when the failed case resurfaces. An old colleague, whose character is played by Charles S. Dutton, informs Shame that the case has been reopened. The news of the Mendoza case sparks Shame's interest and he decides to pursue it. The case involves Mendoza, a drug lord played by Andrew Divoff and Shame's ex girlfriend Angela. Angela, whose character is played by Sallie Richardson Whitfield is a beautiful damsel in distress, however she is really a beautiful and ruthless criminal. Sallie's character resurfaces when Shame devices a plan to locate her. When Shame finds Angela, she and his sidekick Peaches, who is somewhat protective of shame, display a great deal of hostility towards each other. Peaches, whose character is played by Jada Pinkett Smith is the feisty, tell it like it is character, who has a small crush on Shame. Unfortunately, Shame does not appear to be interested. Once Angela has been found, it quickly becomes clear that someone has set him up so that he could locate Angela. Unbeknownst to Shame, Angela has stolen the missing drug money and is being sought after by the drug lord Mendoza. It soon becomes clear to Shame, who has set him up. His former colleague, Rothmiller is working with Mendoza to help him find Angela and the stolen money. When Shame begins to finally put all of the missing pieces together, he springs into action taking down everyone who gets in his way.
