A Nightmare on Elm Street II: Freddy’s Revenge, is a technologically charged off-take of the original Nightmare on Elm Street. It stars Robert Englund again in role of Freddy, and Jack Sholder as the unsuspecting teen lead. When a new family moves into the luxury house on Elm Street they are completely unaware of the history which litters its existence. The townspeople and law enforcement community keep the secrets of Elm Street completely hidden while the new family moves in and begins to interact in the community. Jesse Walsh, played by newcomer Mark Patton, and his urban family relocate to the only empty house on Elm Street. Just as quickly as he makes friends and romantic relations, Jesse’s dreams are increasingly haunted by Freddy Krueger. Freddy vividly tries to unleash his particularly macabre version of fear upon the children of Elm Street; but a few brave teenagers stand in his way. As Freddy tries to gain a foothold on the community through the power and inroads of dreams, Jesse and his girlfriend discover the power of trust and intuition. Wes Craven, the creator and director of the Nightmare on Elm Street movie series began his journey into the supernatural and the inexplicable with this installation. Completely new gore and fright special effects never witnessed in film before were used for this movie. A Nightmare on Elm Street II: Freddy’s Revenge, is a protoexemplary movie completely in the ultra modern, computer-generated special effects horror genre. The powerful qualities of teen love and angst are what Freddy Krueger must face in this second installment of this acclaimed horror series. A Nightmare on Elm Street II: Freddy's Revenge shows Hell and murderous illusion stand no chance against true love and unquestioning loyalty.
