A young singer named Christine Day is plunged into a world of fear when she becomes the object of a disfigured musician's obsession. This musician, Erik Destler, made a pact with the Devil long ago for everyone to love his music; however, as a consequence, Destler's face was burned beyond repair so that no one could love him for anything else ever again. Upon meeting Christine, Destler becomes her mysterious teacher, murdering dozens in the process and forcing the beautiful singer to make an impossible choice.
