"A Snake of June, or "Rokugatsu no Hebi," is a Japanese film from 2002 that takes place somewhere within a major Japanese city. It focuses on the relationship between Rinko and Shigehiko, while both of them are dedicated workers, Shigehiko is also obsessed with cleanliness and purification. As the story progresses, the Rinko and Shigehiko examine the limits of their sexuality, sometimes resulting in a good deal of confusion and discord. "A Snake of June" is notable for having all of its scenes bearing a completely monochromatic blue tint, earning it a pair of awards from the Venice Film Festival.
