Fatal Attraction is a film about Dan Gallagher, a married attorney living in New York City. He meets a beautiful client, Alex, who is at a meeting he attends at work. While his wife and child are out of town one weekend, Alex seduces Dan as the two have an affair at her apartment. The next day, Dan is bombarded by phone calls from Alex wanting to get together with him again. Dan explains to her that the weekend they spent together was a mistake and they cannot continue seeing each other ever again. Alex cannot take no for an answer and begins to stalk him, appearing at several business meetings, and following him around town. Determined to be with Dan, Alex informs him that she is pregnant and he must take responsibility for the child. After Alex shows up at his apartment under the pretense that she is interested in renting it, Dan is furious that she had the nerve to show up at their home. He fears that she will tell his wife about the affair. Later that evening Dan confronts her warning her to stay away from his family. She refuses. Dan purchases a home and moves to the country, hoping that the distance will deter Alex from pursuing him. It does not. She continues to stalk him at his new family home. Dan is forced to confess to his wife about the affair and the pregnancy after Alex breaks into his home and kills the family rabbit. Furious, his wife phones Alex telling her to stay away from her husband. Alex, undeterred, kidnaps their daughter after school and returns her that evening. Furious, Dan breaks into her apartment and threatens to kill her with a knife for what she has done. In the end, Dan’s wife forgives him for the affair. Alex, once again, breaks into their home and tries to attack and kill his wife in the bathroom. Dan, hearing her screams races to her and drowns Alex in the bathtub. The 1987 film stars Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, Anne Archer, Elle Latzen.
