Indecent Proposal

Indecent Proposal stars Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore as a married couple named David and Diana Murphy. David has big ideas for a real estate development plan, which he is sure will make him successful and provide financial security for him and his wife. The only thing David lacks is the money to put his plan into action. The couple decide to try their luck gambling in Las Vegas. What they end up gambling turns out to be far more valuable than money. While trying on a dress in one of the gift shops, Diana meets a charming stranger who tells her she looks good in the dress. She informs him that she cannot afford to actually buy the dress. Later on, a package arrives at the Murphy's hotel room, which turns out to be the exact dress Diana had tried on. This begins a series of events which involve the charming man named John Gage, played by Robert Redford, and both of the Murphys. John Gage keeps turning up wherever the couple seem to be in Las Vegas. He makes it clear he is attracted to Diana. Mr. Gage is also an extremely wealthy individual who is quick to assess the financial situation the Murphys have. On a whim, Mr. Gage makes what appears to be an indecent, but very real proposal to the couple. He states he will give them one million dollars if Diana agrees to spend one night alone with him. The proposal itself creates a dilemma for the married couple. Drawn by the prospect of achieving their dream, they convince themselves that one evening would not ruin the love and trust they have for one another. Diana agrees to spend one night with John Gage. What happens after the one night, is a slow process of mental torture inside David's mind. He cannot get past the fact that his wife slept with another man even though he agreed to let her do it and did receive the million dollars. To complicate matters further, John Gage has developed very real feelings for Diana.
