A Very Serious Person comedy and drama film circled around a male nurse named Jan. For one summer, he is looking after a cranky and dying Mrs A. Mrs A had been taking care of her adopted grandson, Gil who now must find a new home. The three start off with a rocky start but eventually, with many laughs and fights they all grow a bond with one another. Jan creates a special bond and relationship with Gil who is heart broken and upset with his now rattled life. Gil looks up to Jan as a mentor, friend, and love one who helps him get through rough times.
