All The Kind Strangers
- 1 hr 15 min
While on assignment in a rural area of the Southern United States, journalist Jimmy Wheeler makes the unfortunate mistake of picking up a sweet-faced boy carrying a sack of flour on the side of a country road and giving him a lift home. Home turns out to be a remote rustic cabin located deep within the dark woods and protected by a surrounding creek, where the boy lives with his other six siblings and a woman who appears at first to be their mother Carol Ann, but is soon revealed to be only a stranger held prisoner by them to fulfill the maternal role. As Jimmy and Carol Ann struggle to escape from their pint-sized captors, the truth about what became of the children's real parents is revealed, and their own fate looms ominously over them as they learn what has become of all the kind strangers before them who weren't quite kind enough to assume the permanent roles of parental figures for the seven duplicitous juveniles.
