Watch American Venus

Venus is only a young woman who knows what she wants to do in life. Her family, however, have a different idea of what she should do. They want her to become an Olympic star and she is fighting them all the way. Her mother is an addict who is abusive and will do anything to get enough money to pay for what she needs in order to keep her addiction going. The mother continues to worsen in respect to her problems as an abuser and Venus is left with the job of cleaning up the mess. Her family is in complete chaos and denial over the problem.
