Appu is a 2000 Tamil drama; it is a remake of the Hindi movie Sadak. Its plot involves a taxi driver in the city of Bombay named Appu. He is troubled by the suicide of his sister, who lived a horrible life as a prostitute. Appu decides to seek revenge against the prostitution kingpin who was responsible for her plight. During his quest, he meets a beautiful young woman named Sita who also is in danger of becoming a victim of the kingpin.
