Axe Giant: The Wrath Of Paul Bunyan
- 1 hr 30 min
Axe Giant is a teens-meet-monster, slasher-type horror film, centered around a murderous local legend. The cast is introduced as a group of at-risk teens, an overbearing drill sergeant, and a counter-balancing, caring social worker out on an excursion into the woods. Unfortunately, this group doesn't realize that the woods are home to the title character, Paul Bunyan. It turns out that long ago the local population had taken an exception to Paul, and felt that he needed to be dealt with. By sealing him in a cave and separating him from Babe, his blue ox, and Melanie, the woman he loved, they thought that he was taken care of. However, as the years went by Paul, and his anger/hatred, grew until he hit about 15 feet tall. Conveniently the monster of a man breaks out just as the teens happen to be in the area. Realizing that Paul will easily kill them, the teens make a break for a nearby cabin, not knowing that one of them looks just like Melanie. Since years in captivity have driven Paul insane, none of the teens are safe around her until the dramatic finale which hints at a sequel.
