Bandalbaaz is a 1976 Bollywood film that revolves around two con artists, played by Rajesh Khanna and Shammi Kapoor, who team up to execute a series of high-risk scams. Sulakshana Pandit plays the love interest of Rajesh Khanna's character, who becomes a pawn in the duo's plan. The movie opens with Ravi (Rajesh Khanna) and Mohan (Shammi Kapoor) meeting each other in a prison cell. Despite their initial animosity, the two of them soon realise that they have a lot in common, and decide to work together. They begin planning scams to con wealthy people out of their money, and soon become quite successful.

Meanwhile, Ravi meets Asha (Sulakshana Pandit) at a party, and falls in love with her. However, when she discovers that he is a con artist, she breaks up with him. Ravi is heartbroken, but Mohan convinces him to continue their business.

Their next target is a wealthy businessman named Khanna, played by Om Shivpuri. Ravi and Mohan hatch an elaborate plan to con him out of a large sum of money, but the scheme ultimately fails, and Khanna goes to the police. The two con artists are arrested, and Ravi is sentenced to several years in prison.

When he is released, Ravi discovers that Mohan has started a legitimate business, and is doing quite well for himself. However, Ravi is unable to leave his old ways behind, and convinces Mohan to partner with him once again. They plan another scam, which goes smoothly, but things take a turn for the worse when Asha reappears in Ravi's life.

Bandalbaaz is a gripping thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Rajesh Khanna and Shammi Kapoor deliver powerful performances as two men walking a dangerous line between right and wrong. The chemistry between the two actors is palpable, and their witty banter adds a touch of humour to the film.

Sulakshana Pandit is charming as Asha, the woman caught between Ravi and Mohan. Despite her limited screen time, she manages to leave a lasting impression on audiences.

The film's music, composed by Kalyanji-Anandji, is another highlight. The songs "O Mere Dil Ke Chain" and "Kya Huwa Tera Waada" became instant hits and continue to be popular among Bollywood fans today.
