After a failed attempt to win back his ex-girlfriend, Jerry accepts Nick's invitation to a singles cruise to the Bahamas. However, the trouble begins when they accidentally end up on a gay cruise instead of a singles cruise. Even though they are not gay, they decide to stay on the cruise and make the most of it.
Jerry and Nick try to blend in with the other passengers, but people keep mistaking them for a gay couple. Jerry falls for Gabriella (Roselyn Sanchez), a beautiful dance instructor who is also on the cruise. However, Gabriella thinks that Jerry is gay and is only interested in being his friend.
Meanwhile, Nick is pursued by an overweight German gay man (played by Roger Moore) who is convinced that Nick is "the one" for him. Nick is not interested but decides to go along with it to avoid hurting the man's feelings.
The situation gets even more complicated when Jerry's ex-girlfriend unexpectedly shows up on the gay cruise. She is now a lesbian and has brought along her new girlfriend. Jerry is torn between his love for Gabriella and his unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend.
