Boss of Lonely Valley is a 1937 Western movie directed by Ray Taylor and starring Buck Jones, Silver, and Muriel Evans. It follows the story of Buck Sinclair, played by Jones, a cowboy who takes on the task of reclaiming his father's ranch after it is wrongly taken by a group of bandits. The movie begins with Buck Sinclair returning to his hometown in Lonely Valley after spending several years away. He is saddened to discover that his father's ranch had been taken over by a notorious outlaw named Blackie and his gang of cowboys. Blackie had driven Buck's father to an early grave and now that Buck was back, he wanted to reclaim the property which rightfully belonged to him.

Buck soon decides to take matters into his own hands and enlists the help of his loyal companions, a beautiful horse named Silver and his trusty sidekick, Sandy Hopkins (played by Charles King), to take back his family's land.

As Buck and his team begin their quest to regain the ranch, they encounter a host of challenges, including Blackie's henchman who are determined to protect their leader's interests. However, Buck is unfazed by the challenges that lay ahead and as a skilled marksman, he proves to be a formidable opponent for the bandits.

The movie is filled with action-packed scenes of gunfights and horse chases as Buck and his gang fight their way to victory. Meanwhile, romantic tension builds between Buck and his love interest, Joan Cameron (played by Muriel Evans), who is the daughter of a wealthy businessman in the area.

While Boss of Lonely Valley follows a fairly predictable storyline, it is Jones' characterisation of Buck Sinclair that holds the film together. Jones manages to bring his character to life and infuses him with a sense of empathy that any Western fan can appreciate. The bond between Buck and his horse, Silver, is also a highlight of the movie, with the two sharing an almost symbiotic relationship.

Despite being made over 80 years ago, Boss of Lonely Valley still manages to captivate audiences today, largely due to Jones' charismatic performance and the stunning cinematography. The rugged landscape of the Lonley Valley is as much a character in the story as any of the human actors, and it's gorgeously shot.

The supporting cast members also do an excellent job, providing depth to the characters that they play. Charles King's portrayal of Sandy Hopkins adds an element of humour to the movie, while Muriel Evans gives a strong performance as Joan Cameron.

In summary, Boss of Lonely Valley is a classic Western movie that offers an entertaining and engaging storyline, action-packed scenes, and unforgettable performances by Buck Jones and his horse, Silver. If you're a fan of the genre, this is definitely a movie to add to your must-see list.
