Cop Hater is a 1958 police drama set in New York City. William Berke directed and Robert Loggia and Gerald S. O’Loughlin star in the movie. They play Detective Steven Carelli and Detective Mike Maguire from the 87th Precinct. Their task is to investigate the murder of two New York police officers. The movie presents an intimate look into the life of New York detectives. Their personal and professional lives can become messy at times. The story becomes even more complicated when Maguire is killed. Maguire's sexy bombshell wife compromises the case by becoming involved with a nosy reporter.
