Count Basie - Then As Now, Count's The King is a musical documentary that was released straight to DVD in 2013. Count Basie was one of the great performers in Jazz. During the 1930s and 1940s, Count Basie was known for his piano playing, a musical composer, and a bandleader. In the documentary there are footage of the performer playing in jazz clubs and performing his classic hits. There are also footage where he performed with musical greats such as Lester Young and Ella Fitzgerald. In the documentary his band members were interviewed and told their experience performing with the late Jazz composer.
