Daredevil is about Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who fights crime as the superhero Daredevil. Matt was blinded in a accident as a child, but his handicap has heightened all of his other senses and has given him the ability to see through sonic vibrations. Matt's father felt responsible for his son's accident because Matt had discovered that his father was working for the mob. The father tried to go straight, but was killed by those same mobsters. As Matt continues to police the streets of New York as Daredevil, he meets Elektra Natchios, the daughter of a wealthy businessman who is mixed up with crooked executive Wilson Fisk. Elektra's father tries to back out of a deal with Fisk, so Fisk hires the assassin known as Bullseye to kill him. Daredevil tries to stop the crime, but Bullseye ultimately succeeds, framing Daredevil for the crime. Elektra vows to get revenge on Daredevil, but soon learns the truth and goes after Bullseye. Bullseye proves to be too powerful for Elektra and Daredevil believes that Bullseye has killed his new friend. So, this gives Daredevil new motivation to take down Bullseye and Fisk. Bullseye and Daredevil do battle near a church when Bullseye discovers that loud noises can confuse Daredevil. Bullseye prepares to use a spiked board to end the fight when Daredevil comes to his senses and ducks out of the way. Daredevil hears the sound a bullet being fired from a police gun and steps out of the way, dragging Bullseye into the path of the bullet. Bullseye is wounded and begs for his life, but Daredevil shows him little mercy, tossing him off the roof of the church onto the hood of a car. Daredevil then has to fight Fisk, who proves to be a very powerful combatant. As Daredevil lays wounded on the floor, Fisk discovers that Daredevil is Murdock and taunts the hero. Daredevil summons up enough energy to subdue Fisk so he can be arrested and sent to prison. Daredevil is about overcoming disabilities to accomplish extraordinary tasks.
