A science fiction film which is focused on the residents of a small town in upstate New York. The film opens with a parade, in which the town's war veterans march and wave and pass out candy to children viewing from the sidelines. The town is thrown into disarray and confusion when the parade begins to repeat itself, and seemingly does not stop. The strange events of the day continue and the residents are unable to speak intelligible sentences at one point, for no known reason. This continues as the animals of the town begin to assemble in center park.

Day of the Nightmare is a 1965 mystery with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
