Ruby is a singer in a cocktail bar who owns a bowling alley on the side. After trying to make it big while fighting off the mafia, he finds himself starting to grow affectionate towards Sharon. Ruby is staying at the home of his sister Paula and her son Raymond. After leaving her job to go and help the homeless, Ruby finds himself raising Raymond. As well as keeping him on the right track and out of harms way.
