Joe Pesci stars in this hilarious comedy about a New York slum lord and his tenants who live in one of his block apartments in a less than desirable area of town. Louie Kritski is a rich apartment building owner who is sentenced by the court to live in his dilapidated apartment building for 120 days. Louie's father refuses to pay for any repairs to the building and leaves his son to tough it out in the building. Dad tells Louie that he better not fix anything or else, which amounts to Louie being cut off from the family fortune. The super learns much more about life and the people who live in the building than he could have ever imagined. His opinions change about his profession, which includes the way that his father does business and treats less fortunate human beings, and his heart changes in reference to the clients he serves in this apartment building.
