Death of a Dynasty is a comedy spoof of the Hip Hop world that was released in 2003. The movie stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Kevin Hart. In the movie, Moss-Bachrach character played a Hip-Hop journalist who follows a Hip Hop mogul around, played by Kevin Hart. He accidentally wrote a gossip article which causes a rivalry between a producer and a Hip Hop artist. Death of a Dynasty had limited release when the movie made its debut. Though the movie was a comedy, many celebrities such as Jay-Z and Mariah Carey made cameos in the movie. Damon Dash, who directed the movie, also made a cameo in the movie and dedicated the movie to the late singer Aaliyah.
