Deep Blood is a horror movie set in the beach town of South Bay where the locals are eagerly awaiting the annual beach festival. Everyone is hoping for a great time when a group of young people arrive in town for the festivities. Little do they know, there is a shark lurking in the waters, and it is no ordinary predator. The movie starts with a creepy scene of a fisherman discovering a strange fish at the bottom of the ocean. The fisherman takes the fish to the local scientist, Dr. Buckner, who studies the marine life in the area. He discovers that the fish is a mutation caused by chemical pollution, which has also affected the shark population in the area.

The story then follows a group of friends, including Johnny (Frank Baroni), David (Cort McCown), and Tim (Keith Kelsch), who are looking for a good time at the beach. They meet a group of girls, including the beautiful Angela (Susana Downes), who they quickly become friends with. But their fun is short-lived when they learn that there is a man-eating shark in the waters.

Local authorities and beachgoers try to capture the shark, but their efforts are futile as it continues to elude them. As the festival continues, the shark becomes more aggressive and starts to attack random beachgoers, including some of the main characters. They soon realize that they are dealing with a much more intelligent and vicious shark than they ever thought possible.

As the attacks escalate, the group decides to take matters into their own hands and track down the shark. Meanwhile, Dr. Buckner races against time to find a way to stop the shark from wreaking more havoc. With tensions running high and the threat of the shark looming, the group goes on a dangerous mission to put an end to the shark's terror and save everyone at the festival.

The movie incorporates all the classic elements of a shark horror movie, including suspenseful music, jump scares, and of course, the terrifying shark itself. The film's budget is relatively modest, so the special effects are not as impressive as some other shark movies that have come out since. However, this does not detract from the overall viewing experience.

Although not the most well-known shark movie out there, Deep Blood is a fun and entertaining horror flick that is worth a watch for any shark movie fan. It is not the most original of stories, but its execution and the chemistry between the characters make it a worthwhile way to spend an hour and a half. The movie's ending is satisfying, and it leaves viewers feeling satisfied that justice has been served. The movie's soundtrack is also a standout, highlighting the film's suspenseful nature.

Overall, Deep Blood is a classic B-movie horror flick that has all the classic elements of a shark horror movie. It may not be the most well-known film in the genre, but it is enjoyable and worth a watch for any shark movie fan. It shows how people would try to survive while there are sea beasts lurking in the water.

Deep Blood is a 1990 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.2.
