Deus Brasileiro

"Could be a serious mission, if it were not that funny."

"Deus É Brasileiro," meaning "God is Brazilian" is a Portuguese-language dramedy film from 2003. Taoca is a fisherman and confidence trickster who comes across a man clinging to a buoy floating in the ocean. While the man proclaims himself to be the Creator, Taoca balks at his claims until "God" performs several acts of divine intervention. God is looking to take a break and travels with Taoca to locate a worthy saint. They are later joined by Madá, whose reasons for following them are a means of making it all the way to São Paulo, where her mother passed away.
