In 1960, director Kishore Sahu brought audiences the romantic drama Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai starring Raaj Kumar, Meena Kumari, and Nadira. Eventually, fate brings Sagar and Karuna back together, and they must navigate their complicated feelings for each other.
Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai is a beautifully shot movie with stunning performances from its lead cast. Meena Kumari is excellent as Karuna, perfectly capturing the character's quiet strength and unwavering kindness. Raaj Kumar is equally impressive as Sagar, showcasing a range of emotions as he struggles to choose between his love for Karuna and his duty to his mother.
