Dirty Little Billy is a Western set in late-1800s frontier America. It tells the story of old west outlaw Billy the Kid. The film strives to be as realistic as possible, as opposed to the more romanticized version of frontier America seen in other Westerns. Billy (real name William Bonney) is portrayed as a rebellious young punk kid, full of weaknesses and insecurity. The legend of Billy the Kid is de-constructed from this point, following his journeys as he commits crimes more to get by and survive than out of any criminal desire.
