Driftwood is a chilling and haunting film from 2006 that explores the themes of redemption, survival, and self-discovery. The movie, directed by Tim Sullivan, features a talented ensemble cast that showcases the struggles of troubled teens who are sent to a boot camp in the middle of nowhere to get their lives back on track. At the center of the story is David (Raviv Ullman), a troubled teenager who has lost his way in life. After being sent to the boot camp by his parents, he finds himself in a hostile environment that seems designed to break his spirit. The camp is run by Captain Kennedy (played by wrestling legend Dallas Page), a stern and uncompromising man who believes in discipline, order, and tough love. Kennedy has no qualms about exploiting the weaknesses of his young charges to get them to obey his commands, and he is not above using physical violence to enforce his will.

At first, David is defiant and uncooperative, refusing to conform to the strict rules of the camp. However, as time goes by, he begins to realize that he is not alone in his struggles. He makes friends with other troubled teens who are also trying to change their lives, and together, they support each other in their daily struggles. Among them is the charismatic and handsome D.C. (Talan Torriero), who becomes David's roommate and closest ally in the camp.

As David and his friends adapt to life in the camp, they begin to uncover some disturbing secrets about the place. They discover that the camp has a dark past, and that some of the teenagers who were sent there before them have disappeared without a trace. David becomes increasingly suspicious of Captain Kennedy and his methods, and he begins to investigate what is really going on in the camp.

The tension builds up steadily throughout the movie, as David and his friends are subjected to various forms of physical and psychological abuse. The scenes of violence and intimidation are particularly disturbing, and they create a sense of dread that follows the viewer long after the movie is over. The music by Billy Corgan adds to the eerie atmosphere, amplifying the sense of unease that permeates the entire film.

One of the strengths of the movie is the performance of the actors, who bring a sense of authenticity and depth to their characters. Raviv Ullman, in particular, delivers a nuanced and powerful portrayal of a troubled teenager who is trying to find his way in life. His chemistry with Talan Torriero is palpable, and their friendship is one of the driving forces of the movie. Dallas Page, as the ruthless Captain Kennedy, is both menacing and charismatic, creating a character that is both repulsive and fascinating.

In the end, Driftwood is a movie that explores some of the most fundamental questions of human existence: What does it mean to be good? What does it take to change who we are? How far can we push ourselves before we break? It is a movie that will make you think, and that will stay with you long after the credits roll. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers and dark dramas, this is a movie that you should definitely watch.
