Watch Extraordinary Cab Accident

While a pedestrian struck down by a passing car might be all too ordinary an occurrence these days, the incident in EXTRAORDINARY CAB ACCIDENT is extraordinary for at least two reasons: the moment is apparently caught on film and it ends in a most unexpected fashion. The verisimilitude in British film pioneers Robert Paul and Walter Booth's cheeky short, a so-called trick film (which took advantage of a straightforward jump cut, though still quite a trick when it premiered) must have left views dazed by it all. - Robert Avila
