Syd likes to drift from town to town playing his guitar and making money on his own terms. Sarah Lou lives on a huge and successful ranch that is run by her eccentric grandfather and his associates. Her grandfather has been in a battle with the government and others about his land for years and the stress is starting to show. On his travels, Syd wanders into Sarah Lou's life and starts to help her sort out her complicated life and understand her quirky grandfather. But when the pressure on her grandfather starts to intensify, Sarah Lou wonders if Syd's wisdom is going to be enough to help.
