Flight to Fury is a tense thriller from director Monte Hellman, released in 1964. The film stars Dewey Martin as Jay Wickham, a former soldier who agrees to help a group of treasure hunters locate a hidden cache of diamonds on a remote Pacific island. Things quickly become complicated when they discover that their pilot, Harry (Jack Nicholson), has his own plans for the treasure. As tensions rise and trust begins to break down, the group must fight for survival in the face of dangerous enemies and inhospitable terrain.

The plot opens with Jay, a ruggedly handsome but tough-talking adventurer, meeting up with a trio of strangers in a Caribbean port town. The strangers -- Mike, Linda, and Eric -- are all after the same thing as Jay: a fortune in diamonds hidden on a small, isolated island in the South Pacific. They've hired Harry, a nervous but experienced pilot, to fly them to the island in search of the treasure.

As the group departs on Harry's small plane, it becomes clear that not everyone is on the same page. Harry is clearly jittery and has a tendency to drink heavily, which makes everyone else uneasy. Mike, the leader of the group, is also evasive and secretive about his motives for seeking the diamonds. Linda, the only woman on the trip, seems to be looking for a fresh start in life but is hesitant to share much about her past.

Once they reach the island, things take a turn for the worse. The group is ambushed by a gang of ruthless criminals also after the diamonds, led by a sadistic and violent man named Malouf. In the ensuing chaos, one member of the group is killed, and the rest are forced to flee into the dense jungle.

As they struggle to survive and evade the criminals, tensions within the group continue to mount. Jay finds himself increasingly at odds with Mike, whose true intentions are revealed to be very different from what he had led the group to believe. Harry's anxiety and addiction become bigger and bigger problems as well, jeopardizing everyone's safety.

The action sequences in the film are intense and gripping, especially as the group battles to stay alive in the unforgiving jungle. The characters are all well-drawn and brought to life by a talented cast. Dewey Martin is a charismatic star, perfectly suited to the role of Jay, and Nicholson is electric as the nervous wreck of a pilot.

Overall, Flight to Fury is an enjoyable and suspenseful adventure movie that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The beautiful scenery and thrilling action sequences make it a must-watch for fans of the genre.
