Flubber is a comedy from 1997. The movie focuses on the humorous exploits of Professor Philip Brainard. The movie begins by showing Brainard's daily life. One of the biggest problems he seems to have comes down to being overly absent minded. This is displayed so strongly that the viewer even discovers he's missed his own wedding twice. The date for the third wedding is drawing close, and everyone's hoping the professor will actually make it this time. However, on the date of his third wedding ceremony he makes an amazing discovery. The professor has invented a material which he calls flubber. The material is named for the fact that it works in a manner similar to rubber, but is even more prone to bouncing. Time and time again, the bouncing material will propel itself or someone else around with tremendous force. However, the movie is always careful to show that everything is comedic. It's a movie intended for the whole family, and any mishap will be played for laughs.
