Gag is a 2006 horror movie that follows four college friends- Chris, Bill, John, and Tim, who decide to make a horror movie in their dorm room. They find a random website that rents them a camera and some props, but the real horror begins when they receive a mysterious package containing a grotesque mask. The mask, when worn, turns the wearer into a psychopathic killer who videotapes and terrorizes his victims before murdering them.

The movie starts with the four friends, Chris, Bill, John, and Tim, brainstorming ideas for a horror movie. Chris suggests that they try something new, something that hasn't been done before. He stumbles upon a website that promises to rent them a camera and some props. The friends receive a package with the rented camera and some props. Among the props, they find a strange mask that none of them recognizes.

As they start filming, they notice that whenever the mask is worn, the person wearing it turns into a psychopathic killer who videotapes and then kills his or her victims in a brutal manner, all while wearing the mask. The scenes of torture and murder are filmed by the killer, creating a found-footage scenario within the movie.

The friends realize that they have come across something dangerous, and as they try to dispose of the mask, they realize that they cannot get rid of it. The situation quickly escalates as the killer begins targeting Chris's girlfriend, Sarah, and her friends. The group of friends begins to unravel as they try to come to terms with the horror that surrounds them.

The acting in Gag is realistic, and each character has their own unique persona. Brian Kolodziej plays Chris, the ambitious filmmaker who is desperate for success. Gerald Emerick is John, the unwitting accomplice to Chris's schemes. Vince Marinelli plays Tim, who is the skeptic, hesitant to take any part in Chris's plan. Scott W. McKinlay plays the role of Bill, who is a follower and takes direction well.

The cinematography in the movie is reminiscent of found footage movies, with shaky camera work and grainy footage. However, it is well executed and serves the purpose of creating a sense of realism and horror.

Gag is a horror movie that extensively explores the underground world of snuff films. It portrays the dangers of the internet, where anyone can order anything anonymously, and the consequences that such actions can have. The movie is brutal, gruesome, and not for the faint of heart. There are several moments in the movie where the audience will cringe or look away, especially during the murder scenes.

Overall, Gag is a well-executed horror movie that provides a fresh perspective on the found footage sub-genre. The movie is unsettling and thoroughly disturbing, but it is worth a watch for horror fans who can stomach its graphic content. It showcases the horrors that can occur when things go wrong in the movie industry, and how it can all turn into a real-life nightmare.

Gag is a 2012 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 18 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.7.
