Get The Girl is a thrilling dark comedy film that was released in 2017. The movie stars Justin Dobies, Elizabeth Whitson and Noah Segan, and is directed by Eric England. The movie follows a man named Clarence (played by Justin Dobies), who is so enamored with a woman named Alexandria (played by Elizabeth Whitson), that he concocts a plan to rescue her from her abusive boyfriend. The movie is shot in a non-linear style and employs flashbacks to tell the story of how Clarence became fixated on Alexandria, and what led him to devise his risky plan.

The first act of the movie is largely devoted to introducing the characters and establishing the plot. Clarence is someone who has always been overlooked and ignored by others, which has instilled a deep sense of insecurity in him. Alexandria, on the other hand, is gorgeous, confident and well-liked, but she is trapped in a toxic relationship with a violent and controlling boyfriend named Patrick (played by Noah Segan).

Clarence initially encounters Alexandria at a party, where they share a brief conversation that makes a strong impression on him. In the following days, he becomes increasingly fixated on her, stalking her social media profiles and learning where she works. He eventually comes up with a plan to impress her, which involves pretending to be a millionaire philanthropist who is looking for someone to donate money to.

As he executes his plan, he becomes increasingly desperate and erratic, resorting to increasingly dangerous and criminal behaviour. He enlists the help of his best friend, who is initially hesitant but eventually convinces himself that he is helping Clarence pursue a noble goal. However, as the plan begins to unravel, and the stakes get higher, Clarence's true motives and character are revealed.

The second act of the movie is where the real action and tension begin to unfold. Clarence reveals his plan to Alexandria and convinces her to embark on a dangerous adventure with him, all while they are pursued by Patrick and his henchmen. There are plenty of thrilling chase sequences, intense confrontations and unexpected twists in this part of the movie.

The final act of the movie brings everything to a head, as Clarence's plan unravels and all of the characters are forced to confront the consequences of their actions. The climax is a tense and dramatic sequence that is both satisfying and surprising, as the movie delivers a complex and morally ambiguous resolution to the story.

One of the strengths of Get The Girl is the way it blends different genres together. The movie is billed as a dark comedy, but it also contains elements of thriller and drama. The tone of the movie is never entirely clear, which adds to the sense of unease and unpredictability throughout.

The movie also benefits from strong performances from the main cast. Justin Dobies does an excellent job of portraying a sympathetic, but ultimately flawed protagonist. Elizabeth Whitson brings depth and nuance to the role of Alexandria, who is more than just a damsel in distress. And Noah Segan is suitably menacing as the abusive boyfriend, Patrick.

Overall, Get The Girl is a highly entertaining, if somewhat dark and disturbing, movie that offers plenty of thrills, laughs and surprises for viewers. The non-linear structure, interesting characters and unpredictable plot make it a movie worth checking out.

Get The Girl is a 2017 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 27 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.0.
