In 1962, the Italian cruise liner, Antonia Graza, sails loaded with wealthy passengers. During an after dinner dance, a thin cable line snaps, flies across the dance floor and kills every passenger but one, a young girl named Katie. After the incident, the cruise liner disappears without a trace. Forty years later, a man named Ferriman approaches a marine salvage crew, led by Captain Murphy, stating the Antonia Graza was seen during a routine flyover of the Bering Strait. He persuades the crew to aid him in retrieving the ship by offering them a cut of the salvage value. They embark to retrieve the ship on the Arctic Warrior using the coordinates provided by Ferriman. Upon finding the Antonia Graza, Captain Murphy’s crew boards the vessel. As the crew rigs the ship for towing, they begin having strange hallucinations about the passengers of the ship during its final voyage and one-by-one, they succumb to the hallucinations and begin to die off, starting with their tow vessel exploding, killing two crewmembers and leaving the remaining crew stranded on the boat Antonia Graza. With the remaining crew stranded, the strange phenomena increase and the crew begin to lose their minds and turn on each other. That is when the crew begins to realize that Ferriman knows more about the situation than he original led them to believe. As the crew begin having flashbacks, they realize that the ship holds the souls of Ferriman’s victims and that he intends to fill the ship with a set number of souls before transporting them to hell. Then, Captain Murphy’s second-in-command, Epps, devises a plan to sink the ship, releasing the trapped souls and ruining Ferriman’s plans. Epps plants explosives around the Antonia Graza to sink the ship and free the souls. After the explosives are detonated, the Antonia Graza sinks, freeing the trapped souls.
