The film Ginger & Rosa is a movie based in 1960s London. Two girls, Ginger and Rosa, are the best of friends and they do everything together. They love to have talks about the world, the economy and the politics within London. However, they are faced with a very real dilemma, which is the country they live in is currently at nuclear war with other opposing countries. The two girls are afraid the world is going to blow itself up and everything in life will come to an end. Ginger and Rosa both have differing views in terms of religion and politics with their parents. One day, Ginger and Rosa find their friendship barely intact and the two of them seemingly have no hope of ever becoming as close as they had been in the past. The parents of Ginger begin to argue with one another in regards to their daughter, and they end up having a separation. The world is still at war, and the two girls hope peace will soon be found in the world to give them some sense of relief and overall well being.
