Golpo Holeo Shotti is an Indian Bengali-language movie released in 2014. It is a psychological thriller directed by Birsa Dasgupta and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The movie features the popular Bengali stars Soham Chakraborty, Mimi Chakraborty, and Rajatabha Dutta in the lead roles. The storyline of Golpo Holeo Shotti revolves around the life of Arko (Soham Chakraborty), an aspiring singer who dreams of making it big in the music industry. However, his dreams are shattered when he is diagnosed with a psychological condition that makes him hallucinate and see ghosts. Due to this condition, he becomes increasingly paranoid and starts hearing mysterious noises that no one else can hear. The noises torment him to the point where he becomes overwhelmed and unable to function normally.

Arko's girlfriend Debjani (Mimi Chakraborty) tries to help him by taking him to a psychiatrist, but all efforts prove to be futile. Meanwhile, Arko's friend Pratim (Rajatabha Dutta) suggests that he should visit a deserted bungalow in a remote area, where he believes that Arko will be able to confront his fears and come to terms with his condition. Initially, Arko is hesitant to visit the bungalow, but he eventually agrees.

Upon arriving at the bungalow, they meet the caretaker of the bungalow, who warns them that the bungalow is haunted and advises them to leave immediately. However, Pratim ignores the warnings and forces Arko to stay in the bungalow overnight. However, things take a turn for the worse when Arko starts seeing ghosts and hearing mysterious noises again.

The rest of the movie is an intense and suspenseful rollercoaster ride, as Arko struggles to distinguish reality from hallucination, and Pratim frantically tries to save Arko from the supernatural forces that have taken over the bungalow.

The movie features exceptional performances by Soham Chakraborty, Mimi Chakraborty, and Rajatabha Dutta. Soham nails the role of a paranoid musician, and his acting skills are tested to the limit as he portrays an array of emotions, from shock to hysteria. Mimi, on the other hand, delivers an understated yet powerful performance as Arko's caring girlfriend who wants nothing more than to help him. Rajatabha Dutta provides the much-needed comic relief in an otherwise intense and suspenseful movie.

The cinematography of Golpo Holeo Shotti is also praiseworthy. The movie was shot on location in Kolkata and the remote areas of West Bengal. The bungalow in which the majority of the movie takes place is a character in itself, with its eerie and haunting vibe adding to the overall ambiance of the film.

The music of Golpo Holeo Shotti was composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, and the songs are beautifully rendered by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao. The songs add to the emotions and intensity of the movie and are placed strategically to enhance the narrative.

In conclusion, Golpo Holeo Shotti is a must-watch for those who love suspenseful psychological thrillers. The movie has all the elements of a classic thriller and will keep the audience at the edge of their seats till the end. It is a well-crafted movie with brilliant performances by the cast and excellent cinematography and music. It is a testament to the quality of Bengali movies and is sure to impress even non-Bengali speakers.
