Iceman is a drama film that was released in 1984. The film involves a scientist who is engaged in a mission to explore the Arctic with a team of fellow researchers. While in the Arctic, the team comes across the remarkably well preserved body of a 40,000 year old Neanderthal. Surprisingly, the team of scientists is able to bring the frozen Neanderthal back to life, and they manage to take the Iceman back to civilization. However, the explorer quickly finds that he must protect the Neanderthal from a group of scientists who want to dissect him. This eventually leads to Dr. Stanley Shaphard breaking the Iceman out of the lab he is being held in against his will. Iceman was directed by Fred Schepisi. It was written by Chip Proser and John Drimmer. The main scientist by the name of Dr. Stanley Shephard is played by Timothy Hutton. It also features performances by Lindsay Crouse and John Lone.
