It Might Get Loud is a 2008 documentary about the electric guitar from the perspective of rock musicians who have etched their names into rock music history by mastering the instrument. Directed by Davis Guggenheim, the film features Jack White of the White Stripes, The Dead Weather, and the Raconteurs, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, and The Edge from U2, each giving candid interviews about their relationship with the electric guitar, and their common experience of finding a channel for their rebellious natures through playing the instrument. The three each get separate segments, and then meet up for the first time to talk about music, and for a historic jam session mixing their signature styles. Other cast members include Meg White of the White Stripes, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, and Bono of U2. Fans of rock music, the electric guitar, or any of the three featured musicians will enjoy this fascinating glimpse into the lives of people who have built their impressive careers around the electric guitar.
