The 2010 American comedy film, Jackass 3D, follows the antics and gags played by a group of performers from the the famous Jackass series. This is the fourth film in the series and the first that was shot with 3D technology. The film was a joint production between MTV Films and Paramount Pictures. This is the last film, along with Jackass 3.5, that featured Ryan Dunn before his untimely death in 2011. The film compiles a variety of different stunts and skits and like the television series, it has no set plot or direction. Featured stunts include the playing of tether ball with a beehive that has been filled with Africanized bees. Another stunt has the infected tooth of a man being pulled out with a Lamborghini. The triumphant final scene features Steve-O inside a portable toilet that is filled with excrement being launched into the air while attached to bungee chords. The film is introduced by the animated duo of Beavis and Butthead who explain 3D technology to the audience. In addition, Rip Taylor makes an appearance at the end of the film as he has done in previous films, to close the film in his typically over-dramatized way. The film features the entire cast from the previous films returning for more pranks and hi-jinks. The film received very positive reviews and did well at the box office. While some critics thought that the crew was running out of stunts, they also felt that the 3D technology made up for the lack of originality. Worldwide, the film grossed more than any other film in the series. A follow-up film known as Jackass 3.5 was created from the unused clips from this film. The 3.5 film was not shown with the 3D technology in place. Like the other films, this film featured an all-star soundtrack that included such hit-makers as Weezer and Twisted Sister.
