The Gambler is a 1980 western movie of a man named Brady Hawkes. The Story follows Hawkes on his journey to rescue the son he never new he had. On his journey he displays heroic tendencies, respectful disposition and fatherly attributes in his quest to help and teach others in an attempt to save them from learning the hard way, as he did in his younger years. Hawkes is a gambler who pushes the limits but knows when the odds are against him. The majority of the movie takes place on a train and the cities and town it stops at. There are several action scenes, and plenty of adventure throughout the movie. There are also several sections of the movie where Hawkes discusses life lessons with people he meets along the way. Hawkes' character is based on good morals and positive traits that make him a hero throughout the movie.
